The fight for independence – for the right to make our own policies and the honour to mete out our own justice – was the central issue of every Indian’s life not so long ago. That fight has paved the way for the lives we lead today and it’s essential for us to pay homage to those who fought and to at least be aware of the significance of our countries national days.
